Here’s a classic, creamy egg salad sandwich recipe — simple, comforting, and easy to customize.


🥚 Egg Salad Sandwich

Ingredients (Makes 3–4 sandwiches)

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4–1/3 cup mayonnaise (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard (optional)
  • 1–2 tbsp finely chopped celery (optional, for crunch)
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped red onion or green onion
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Paprika (optional)
  • 6–8 slices sandwich bread
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)

Instructions

1️⃣ Hard-boil the eggs

  • Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
  • Bring to a boil, then turn off heat, cover, and let sit 10–12 minutes.
  • Transfer to an ice bath for 5 minutes, then peel.

2️⃣ Chop & mix

  • Chop eggs to your preferred texture (chunky or fine).
  • Gently mix with mayo, mustard, celery, onion, salt, and pepper.
  • Sprinkle in a little paprika if you like.

3️⃣ Assemble

  • Toast bread if desired.
  • Spoon egg salad onto bread, add lettuce if using, and top with another slice.
  • Slice and serve.

Flavor Variations

  • Add chopped dill pickles or relish for tang
  • Mix in fresh dill or chives
  • Stir in a dash of hot sauce
  • Add crispy bacon for a richer twist
