Here’s a versatile guide to cooking chicken breast — juicy, flavorful, and perfect for a variety of meals. 🍗

🥩 Juicy Chicken Breast (Oven-Baked or Pan-Seared)

Ingredients (Serves 2–4)

  • 2–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, dried herbs (thyme, rosemary, oregano)

1️⃣ Oven-Baked Chicken Breast

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
  4. Place on a greased baking sheet or in a baking dish.
  5. Bake 20–25 minutes (depending on thickness) until internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing to retain juices.

2️⃣ Pan-Seared Chicken Breast

  1. Heat 1–2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season chicken as above.
  3. Sear 5–7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).
  4. Remove and rest 5 minutes.

Optional Flavor Variations

  • Lemon Garlic: Add minced garlic and fresh lemon juice while cooking.
  • Herb Butter: Melt butter with thyme/rosemary and spoon over cooked chicken.
  • Cheese & Bacon: Top with cheese and cooked bacon, then broil 2–3 minutes until melted.
  • Marinated: Marinate in olive oil, lemon, garlic, and herbs for 30–60 minutes for extra flavor.

Tips for Juicy Chicken Breast

  • Pound thicker breasts to even thickness for uniform cooking.
  • Don’t overcook — check internal temp with a thermometer.
  • Let rest before slicing to keep chicken moist.
