Cherry Delight

Posted on February 23, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a classic Cherry Delight recipe—a no-bake, creamy, layered dessert with a sweet cherry topping:

Ingredients (serves 6–8)

Crust & Base:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (or digestive biscuits)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Filling:

  • 1 package (8 oz / 225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping

Topping:

  • 1 can (21 oz / 595 g) cherry pie filling
  • Optional: chocolate shavings or chopped nuts for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8×8-inch (or similar) pan to form the base. Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.

2. Make the Filling:

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until fully combined.
  3. Gently fold in whipped cream until light and fluffy.

3. Assemble:

  1. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
  2. Spoon cherry pie filling evenly on top of the cream layer.

4. Chill & Serve:

  1. Refrigerate at least 2–3 hours (or overnight) to set.
  2. Garnish with chocolate shavings, nuts, or extra whipped cream before serving.

💡 Tips:

  • You can substitute cherries with other fruits like strawberries, blueberries, or peaches.
  • For a crunchier base, mix some chopped nuts into the crust.
  • Make individual servings using small jars or cups for a fun presentation.

If you want, I can also give a fancier layered Cherry Delight with pudding and a graham cracker crust that’s extra creamy and elegant for dinner parties.

Do you want me to do that?
