Here’s a quick, restaurant-style Garlic Butter Shrimp—ready in about 15 minutes 🦐🧄🧈

Garlic Butter Shrimp

Ingredients (serves 3–4)

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • Salt & black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (or smoked paprika)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 5–6 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1–2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Season shrimp
    • Pat shrimp dry.
    • Toss with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Cook shrimp
    • Heat olive oil + 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add shrimp in a single layer.
    • Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through.
    • Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. Make garlic butter
    • Lower heat to medium.
    • Add remaining butter and garlic.
    • Sauté 30–45 seconds until fragrant (don’t brown).
  4. Finish
    • Return shrimp to pan.
    • Toss with garlic butter.
    • Add lemon juice, parsley, and red pepper flakes if using.
    • Taste and adjust seasoning.

Serving Ideas

  • Over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes
  • With crusty bread to soak up the sauce
  • On top of salad or zucchini noodles
  • In tacos or wraps

Tips

  • Use raw shrimp, not pre-cooked
  • Don’t overcook—shrimp turn rubbery fast
  • Add a splash of white wine for extra depth
  • Works great in an air fryer or sheet pan too
