Garlic Butter Shrimp
Ingredients (serves 3–4)
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
- Salt & black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika (or smoked paprika)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 5–6 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1–2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Season shrimp
- Pat shrimp dry.
- Toss with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Cook shrimp
- Heat olive oil + 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp in a single layer.
- Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through.
- Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Make garlic butter
- Lower heat to medium.
- Add remaining butter and garlic.
- Sauté 30–45 seconds until fragrant (don’t brown).
- Finish
- Return shrimp to pan.
- Toss with garlic butter.
- Add lemon juice, parsley, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Taste and adjust seasoning.
