Here’s a rich and flavorful recipe for Creamy Parmesan Chicken—juicy chicken in a garlicky, cheesy sauce that’s perfect over pasta, rice, or with a side of veggies.


Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or a mix of basil, oregano, thyme)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or fresh basil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken

  1. Season chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F / 74°C). Remove chicken and set aside.

2. Make the Creamy Parmesan Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  3. Whisk in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Simmer 3–5 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.

3. Combine Chicken and Sauce

  • Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat chicken with sauce.

4. Serve

  • Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or roasted vegetables. Garnish with chopped parsley or basil if desired.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle a little garlic powder or smoked paprika on the chicken before searing.
  • You can add spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, or mushrooms to the sauce for a veggie boost.
  • If the sauce is too thick, thin with a splash of chicken broth or milk.
