Here’s a rich, luscious Homemade Hot Fudge — perfect for ice cream, brownies, or desserts 🍫🔥

🍫 Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce

Ingredients (Makes about 1½ cups)

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 1 cup semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)
  • ½ cup light corn syrup (or honey for a natural alternative)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the base
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, butter, sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Stir until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add chocolate
Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Finish with vanilla
    Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Serve warm
Serve immediately over ice cream, brownies, or fruit. For a thicker sauce, let it cool slightly; it will thicken as it cools.

Storage

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • Reheat gently over low heat or in the microwave, stirring occasionally.

Tips

  • For extra richness, use a mix of semisweet and dark chocolate.
  • Add a pinch of espresso powder to enhance the chocolate flavor.
  • For a boozy version, stir in 1–2 tsp bourbon or Kahlúa after removing from heat.

I can also give you a quick 5-minute microwave version if you want hot fudge without using the stove.
