Here’s a bold, savory-sweet Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage & Broccoli skillet — quick enough for a weeknight, flavorful enough for guests.
🍤 Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage & Broccoli
Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 12 oz smoked sausage (kielbasa or andouille), sliced into coins
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
Honey Garlic Sauce
- ⅓ cup honey
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (or rice vinegar)
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (slurry, optional for thicker sauce)
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Prep the sauce
Whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Set aside. - Cook the sausage
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add sausage and cook 4–5 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside. - Cook the broccoli
In the same pan, add broccoli with a splash of water. Cover and steam-sauté 3–4 minutes until bright green and just tender. Remove and set aside. - Cook the shrimp
Add butter and garlic to the skillet. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. - Combine & glaze
Return sausage and broccoli to the pan. Pour in the sauce.
Simmer 2–3 minutes. If you prefer thicker sauce, stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until glossy. - Serve
Spoon over rice, quinoa, or noodles. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.
Tips
- Add sliced bell peppers or snap peas for extra color.
- Swap broccoli for asparagus or green beans.
- For a sheet-pan version, roast sausage and broccoli at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes, then add shrimp and sauce for another 8–10 minutes.
If you’d like, I can give you a lower-carb version or turn this into a spicy Cajun-style skillet.
