🥞 Fluffy Pancakes

These pancakes are soft, thick, and extra fluffy with golden edges and a tender center.

📝 Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ¼ cups milk (room temperature)
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp melted butter (plus more for cooking)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  1. Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  3. Combine: Pour wet into dry and gently stir until just combined. A few lumps are fine — don’t overmix.
  4. Rest batter: Let sit 5–10 minutes (this helps them get extra fluffy).
  5. Cook: Heat a lightly buttered skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  6. Pour about ¼ cup batter per pancake.
  7. Cook until bubbles form on top (about 2–3 minutes), flip, and cook another 1–2 minutes until golden.

✨ Extra Fluffy Tip

For ultra-thick pancakes:

  • Separate the egg.
  • Beat the egg white until soft peaks form.
  • Fold it gently into the batter last.

Serve warm with butter, maple syrup, fresh berries, or chocolate chips.
