🍌 Rich Banana Bread
This is a super moist, buttery banana bread with deep banana flavor and a tender crumb — perfect for using up very ripe bananas.
📝 Ingredients
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups mashed very ripe bananas (about 3–4 bananas)
- ¼ cup sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
- ¾ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Cream butter & sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Mix in bananas, sour cream, and vanilla until combined.
- Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl (flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon).
- Fold dry into wet just until combined — don’t overmix.
- Stir in nuts or chocolate chips if using.
- Bake 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack.

- Replace ¼ cup sugar with brown sugar for deeper flavor.
- Add 2 tablespoons heavy cream for a softer crumb.
- Sprinkle coarse sugar on top before baking for a sweet crust.
