Here’s a versatile Ground Beef recipe — simple, flavorful, and a base for many dishes like tacos, pasta, or skillet meals.

🥩 Savory Ground Beef Skillet

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (if needed)
  • Optional: 1 cup diced tomatoes, 1 cup cooked rice, or 1 cup frozen vegetables

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Beef

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned.
  • Drain excess fat if necessary.

2️⃣ Add Aromatics

  • Add onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté 2–3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  • Stir in paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.

3️⃣ Optional Additions

  • Add diced tomatoes, cooked rice, or vegetables and cook another 3–5 minutes until heated through and well combined.

4️⃣ Serve

  • Serve as a main dish over rice or pasta, in tacos, wraps, or stuffed peppers.

💡 Tips

  • For more flavor, cook beef with a splash of Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce.
  • Use lean beef (90/10) to reduce fat.
  • Leftover cooked ground beef can be refrigerated for 3–4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
  • Customize spices to create taco beef, Italian beef, or Asian-style ground beef.
