Here’s a classic, fluffy Waffle recipe — perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even dessert!


🧇 Classic Waffles

Ingredients (Makes 4–6 waffles)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¾ cups milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Waffle Iron

  • Preheat your waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions.

2️⃣ Make the Batter

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat eggs and then whisk in milk, oil (or butter), and vanilla.
  • Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
    • Batter may be slightly lumpy — don’t overmix!

3️⃣ Cook the Waffles

  • Lightly grease the waffle iron with nonstick spray or a little oil.
  • Pour enough batter to just cover the waffle grid.
  • Cook according to your waffle iron’s instructions (usually 4–6 minutes) until golden brown and crisp.

4️⃣ Serve

  • Serve immediately with syrup, fresh fruit, whipped cream, or your favorite toppings.

💡 Tips

  • For extra crispiness, separate eggs and beat the whites until stiff peaks form, then fold into the batter.
  • Add cinnamon, nutmeg, or chocolate chips for variety.
  • Waffles can be made ahead and frozen; reheat in a toaster or oven.
  • For a healthier version, substitute half the flour with whole wheat flour or add oats.
