Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced (optional)

  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika or chili powder (optional)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz / 410g) diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup beef or chicken broth

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Beef

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
  • Drain excess fat if needed.

  • Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper.
  • Sauté 3–5 minutes until vegetables are tender.

3️⃣ Season and Simmer

  • Add diced tomatoes and broth.
  • Simmer 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens slightly.

4️⃣ Optional Add-Ins

  • Stir in cooked rice, pasta, or beans for a hearty one-pan meal.
  • Sprinkle with shredded cheese before serving if desired.
