Here’s a classic, easy Sausage Muffins recipe — perfect for breakfast, meal prep, or brunch gatherings.

🧁 Sausage Muffins (Savory Breakfast Muffins)

Ingredients (Makes 12 muffins)

  • 1 lb (450g) breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
Grease or line a 12-cup muffin tin.

2️⃣ Cook the Sausage

  • Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
  • Drain excess grease and let cool slightly.

3️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and black pepper.

4️⃣ Combine Everything

  • Stir cooked sausage and shredded cheese into the dry ingredients.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and milk.
  • Add egg mixture to sausage mixture and stir until just combined.

5️⃣ Fill & Bake

  • Divide mixture evenly among muffin cups (fill about ¾ full).
  • Bake 18–22 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.

6️⃣ Cool & Serve

Let cool 5 minutes before removing from pan. Serve warm.

💡 Tips

  • Add diced jalapeños for heat.
  • Swap cheddar for pepper jack or mozzarella.
  • Freeze cooled muffins for up to 2 months; reheat in microwave 30–60 seconds.
  • For a low-carb version, replace flour with almond flour (1:1 substitute).
