🍗 Perfect Pan-Seared Chicken Breast

🧾 Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for finishing)

🔥 Instructions

1. Prep the Chicken

  • Pat dry with paper towels (this helps browning).
  • If thick, pound to even thickness for even cooking.
  • Rub with oil and season both sides evenly.

2. Sear

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add a little oil if needed.
  • Cook chicken 5–7 minutes on first side without moving it.

3. Flip & Finish

  • Flip and cook another 5–7 minutes.
  • Add butter to the pan during the last minute and spoon over the top.

4. Check Doneness

  • Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).

5. Rest

  • Let rest 5 minutes before slicing (keeps it juicy).
