Here’s a classic, moist Banana Bread recipe — simple, flavorful, and perfect for breakfast or a snack.

🍌 Banana Bread

Ingredients (1 loaf)

  • 1¾ cups (220 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar (can use brown sugar for richer flavor)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: ½ cup chopped walnuts, pecans, or chocolate chips

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

3️⃣ Cream Butter & Sugar

  • In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  • Stir in mashed bananas and vanilla extract.

4️⃣ Combine

  • Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  • If desired, fold in nuts or chocolate chips.

5️⃣ Bake

  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6️⃣ Cool & Serve

  • Let bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Slice and enjoy plain, with butter, or with a drizzle of honey.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra moist: Add ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt to the batter.
  • Spiced version: Add 1 teaspoon cinnamon or ¼ teaspoon nutmeg.
  • Healthier swap: Replace half of the flour with whole wheat flour and reduce sugar slightly.
  • Freezing: Banana bread freezes well — wrap tightly and freeze for up to 2 months.

If you want, I can also provide a quick microwave mug version for a single-serving banana bread in under 5 minutes.

Do you want me to give that version?
