Banana split

Posted on January 19, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a classic Banana Split — a fun, indulgent dessert that’s simple to assemble and always a hit 🍌🍦🍫

Classic Banana Split

Serves: 1–2
Time: ~10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 banana, peeled and split lengthwise
  • 3 scoops ice cream (traditionally vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry)
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate syrup, caramel, or strawberry sauce
  • Chopped nuts (optional)
  • Maraschino cherries
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the banana
    • Slice the banana in half lengthwise and place in a long dessert dish or bowl.
  2. Add ice cream
    • Place three scoops of ice cream between the banana halves.
  3. Add toppings
    • Drizzle chocolate, caramel, or strawberry sauce over the ice cream.
    • Add whipped cream on top of each scoop.
    • Sprinkle with chopped nuts, sprinkles, and top with a maraschino cherry.
  4. Serve immediately
    • Enjoy with a spoon or share with a friend!

Tips & Variations

  • Frozen banana version: Freeze banana halves before assembling for an extra-cold treat.
  • Healthier twist: Use Greek yogurt instead of ice cream and drizzle with honey or fruit puree.
  • Mini splits: Make in small cups for parties or kids’ snacks.
  • Extra flavors: Add brownie chunks, cookie crumbles, or peanut butter drizzle.

I can also give a fancier Banana Split with homemade sauces and whipped cream recipe that tastes like an ice cream parlor.
