  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Optional: fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary)

Pan-Seared Pork Chops (Quick & Juicy)

  1. Prep: Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Sear: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops, sear 3–4 min per side until golden brown.
  3. Finish cooking: Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook another 4–6 min (depending on thickness) until internal temp reaches 145°F (63°C).
  4. Rest: Remove from skillet, let rest 5 min. This keeps them juicy.

Baked Pork Chops (Hands-Off)

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season chops as above.
  3. Place in a greased baking dish and bake 20–25 min, or until internal temp is 145°F (63°C).
  4. Optional: Broil 1–2 min at the end for a crisp top.

Optional Flavor Boosts

  • Garlic butter: Melt butter with garlic, spoon over chops before serving.
  • Apple or onion topping: Sauté sliced apples or onions in skillet and serve on top.
