Posted on February 2, 2026 by Admin

Ohhh yes 😏🥓🧀 Chicken Breasts with Cheese and Bacon—juicy, cheesy, and smoky all in one bite. Here’s a simple, foolproof way to make it.

🍗 Chicken Breasts with Cheese and Bacon

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 4 slices of cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss cheese (or more if you like it gooey)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 375°F / 190°C. Grease a baking dish or line with foil.
  2. Prep the chicken
    • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Cook the bacon
    • In a skillet, cook bacon until slightly crispy (it will finish cooking in oven). Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. Sear the chicken (optional)
    • Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Sear chicken 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Assemble in baking dish
    • Place chicken in dish.
    • Lay a slice of cheese on each breast.
    • Top with a slice of bacon (or crumble it on top).
  6. Bake
    • Bake 20–25 minutes, until chicken reaches internal temp 165°F / 74°C and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve
    • Garnish with fresh parsley. Great with roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, or a simple salad.

🔥 Pro Tips

  • Cheese: Mix cheeses for extra flavor (cheddar + mozzarella works perfectly).
  • Bacon: Cook a little less than fully crispy, so it stays chewy after baking.
  • Juicy chicken: Don’t overbake—use a thermometer.
  • Extra flavor: Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard or BBQ sauce under the cheese before adding bacon.

Optional variations:

  • Stuffed version: Slice chicken to make a pocket, stuff with cheese and bacon, then bake.
  • Creamy sauce: Add a spoonful of cream cheese or ranch dressing under the bacon for extra richness.
  • Crispier topping: Broil 1–2 minutes at the end for a golden finish.

This is quick, decadent, and crowd-pleasing—perfect weeknight comfort food.

Do you want it classic baked style or stuffed and extra cheesy?
