🍫 No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Ingredients

  • 2½ cups quick oats (or old-fashioned, lightly crushed)
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional add-ins: peanut butter, chocolate chips, shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Cook the base
    In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
    Stir in brown sugar, milk, cocoa powder, and salt.
    Bring to a gentle boil and cook 1½–2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Finish the mix
    Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
  3. Add oats
    Fold in oats (and any add-ins) until fully coated.
  4. Press & set
    Press mixture firmly into a parchment-lined pan.
  5. Chill
    Refrigerate 30–45 minutes until firm.
  6. Slice & serve
    Cut into bars or squares.

Pro Tips

  • For chewier bars, use quick oats
  • For chunky texture, use old-fashioned oats
  • Add ½ cup peanut butter for extra richness & protein
  • Store in fridge for best firmness
