Strawberry cake

Alright, let’s lock it in 😄
Here’s a simple, moist strawberry cake that actually tastes like strawberries—not pink vanilla.

🍓 Easy Strawberry Cake (from scratch)

Ingredients

Cake

  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temp
  • 1¾ cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ cup strawberry purée (fresh or frozen strawberries blended smooth)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Strawberry Frosting (optional but elite)

  • 1 cup butter, room temp
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup strawberry purée (or reduced purée for stronger flavor)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prep: Heat oven to 350°F / 175°C. Grease two 8-inch pans.
  2. Dry stuff: Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream: Beat butter + sugar until fluffy (3–4 min).
  4. Eggs: Add eggs one at a time.
  5. Flavor: Mix in strawberry purée + vanilla.
  6. Combine: Alternate dry ingredients and milk. Don’t overmix.
  7. Bake: 25–30 min, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely, then frost.

Pro Tips ✨

  • For stronger strawberry flavor, simmer the purée for 10–15 min to reduce it before using.
  • Want it extra pink? A drop of food coloring—but totally optional.
  • This cake is 🔥 with cream cheese frosting too.

If you want a quick box-mix version, a vegan one, or a strawberry crunch topping, say the word 🍓
