Oooh, chicken wings 😋 crispy, saucy, glorious. Let’s do a solid go-to version, plus options to level them up.


Crispy Oven-Baked Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs (900 g) chicken wings
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (not baking soda)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Instructions:

  1. Prep the wings
    • Pat wings very dry with paper towels (this is key for crispiness).
    • Toss with baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Bake
    • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
    • Place wings on a wire rack over a baking sheet.
    • Bake 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

Classic Wing Sauces (pick your vibe)

🔥 Buffalo

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 3 tbsp melted butter

🍯 Honey Garlic

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp minced garlic

🌶 BBQ

  • Your favorite BBQ sauce (warm it first)

Toss hot wings in sauce and serve immediately.


Serve With:

  • Celery & carrot sticks
  • Ranch or blue cheese
  • Extra napkins (mandatory)

Pro Tips:

  • Air fryer? 380°F (195°C) for 22–25 minutes, shaking halfway.
  • Want extra crispy? Leave wings uncovered in the fridge overnight before baking.
  • Sauce after cooking, never before.
