- 1 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- 1 large egg
- 3 tbsp melted butter (or oil)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
1. Mix dry ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together:
- Flour
- Baking powder
- Sugar
- Salt
2. Mix wet ingredients
In another bowl, whisk:
- Milk
- Egg
- Melted butter
- Vanilla
3. Combine
- Pour wet ingredients into dry.
- Gently stir just until combined.
👉 Batter should be slightly lumpy—do not overmix.
4. Rest the batter (important!)
- Let batter rest 5–10 minutes.
This helps the pancakes rise and stay fluffy.

- Pour about ¼ cup batter per pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form and edges look set (2–3 min).
- Flip and cook 1–2 minutes until golden.
6. Serve
- Serve hot with butter, maple syrup, fruit, or whipped cream.
