Lemon Garlic Lobster Tails

Posted on April 20, 2026 by Admin

Lemon Garlic Lobster Tails are rich, buttery, and surprisingly quick to make. The goal is tender meat with a bright, garlicky butter glaze—not rubbery or overcooked.

Lemon Garlic Lobster Tails (Oven or Broiled)

Ingredients

  • 2–4 lobster tails
  • 3 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 3–4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1–2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (for color, optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Prep the lobster (butterfly cut)

  1. Using kitchen scissors, cut the top shell lengthwise.
  2. Gently pull the meat out and rest it on top of the shell (still attached at the base).
  3. This helps it cook evenly and look restaurant-style.

Make the sauce

Mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika.

Cooking methods

🔥 Broil (best for flavor)

  • Place lobster tails on a tray.
  • Brush generously with the lemon garlic butter.
  • Broil on high for 8–10 minutes (depending on size), until opaque and slightly golden.

🔥 Bake (easier control)

  • Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 10–12 minutes.
  • Baste once halfway through.

How to know it’s done

  • Meat turns opaque white
  • Internal temp ~63°C (145°F)
  • Avoid overcooking—it gets tough quickly

Finish

  • Drizzle extra lemon butter on top
  • Sprinkle parsley
  • Serve with lemon wedges

Serving ideas

  • Garlic butter rice or mashed potatoes
  • Steamed vegetables
  • Simple pasta

Tips for perfect lobster

  • Fresh or properly thawed tails work best
  • Don’t skip the butter—it keeps it juicy
  • Broiling gives a slightly charred, restaurant-style finish

If you want, I can give you a grilled version, a spicy Cajun-style twist, or a budget-friendly shrimp version with the same lemon garlic flavor.
