🍰 Pound Cake (rich, buttery classic)

A simple, timeless cake with a soft crumb and buttery flavor—perfect with tea or coffee.


🥣 Ingredients:

  • 🌾 Flour (2 cups)
  • 🧈 Butter (1 cup, softened)
  • 🍬 Sugar (1 cup)
  • 🥚 Eggs (4 large)
  • 🥛 Milk (½ cup)
  • 🌿 Vanilla extract (1–2 tsp)
  • 🥄 Baking powder (1½ tsp)
  • 🧂 Pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 How to make:

1. Cream butter & sugar

Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy—this step gives a soft texture.

2. Add eggs

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.

3. Mix dry ingredients

In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

4. Combine

Add dry ingredients gradually to the batter, alternating with milk.
Stir in vanilla.

5. Bake

  • Pour into a greased loaf pan
  • Bake at 175°C (350°F) for 50–60 minutes
  • Toothpick should come out clean

6. Cool

Let it cool before slicing.
