🍄🧅 Sautéed Mushrooms and Onions (quick & flavorful)

A simple side dish that’s rich, savory, and goes with almost anything—steak, chicken, rice, or even sandwiches.


🥣 Ingredients:

  • 🍄 Mushroom (2 cups, sliced)
  • 🧅 Onion (1 large, sliced)
  • 🧈 Butter (2 tbsp) or oil
  • 🧄 Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • 🧂 Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 🌿 Optional: thyme or parsley

👩‍🍳 How to make:

1. Heat pan

  • Melt butter (or heat oil) in a pan over medium-high heat.

2. Cook onions

  • Add onions first.
  • Cook until soft and slightly golden (3–4 minutes).

3. Add mushrooms

  • Add mushrooms and spread them out.
  • Let them cook without stirring too much so they brown.

4. Add garlic & seasoning

  • Stir in garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook until mushrooms are tender and slightly caramelized.

5. Finish

  • Add herbs if using.
  • Optional: splash of soy sauce or vinegar for extra flavor.

Juicy mushrooms and sweet caramelized onions with a rich, buttery taste.

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan (they’ll steam instead of brown)
