Glazed Chicken Drumsticks (Serves 4)

Ingredients:

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: sesame seeds, chopped green onions

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease.
  2. Prepare glaze:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat drumsticks:
    • Place drumsticks on the baking sheet. Brush or pour glaze over each piece, turning to coat evenly.
  4. Bake:
    • Bake for 25 minutes, then turn drumsticks and brush with more glaze.
    • Bake an additional 15–20 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C) and skin is caramelized.
  5. Serve:
    • Sprinkle with sesame seeds or green onions if desired. Serve with rice, roasted vegetables, or salad.

  • Sticky sweetness: For extra sticky glaze, broil the drumsticks 2–3 minutes at the end, watching closely.
