Here’s a classic, juicy meatball recipe—perfect for pasta, sandwiches, or as a snack 🍝

🍖 Classic Meatballs

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 500 g ground meat (beef, chicken, or a mix)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika or chili powder
  • 2 tbsp oil (for frying)

Instructions

1. Make the mixture

  • In a bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, milk, and spices.
  • Mix gently (don’t overmix or meatballs become tough).

2. Shape

  • Roll into small balls (golf-ball size or smaller).

3. Cook

Pan-fry method:

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Cook meatballs for 8–10 minutes, turning until browned and cooked through.

Oven method:

  • Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 18–20 minutes.

🍅 Optional Sauce (Quick)

  • In a pan, heat tomato sauce with garlic, salt, and herbs.
  • Add cooked meatballs and simmer 10 minutes.

🔥 Tips

  • Add a little grated cheese for extra flavor
  • Wet your hands when shaping to prevent sticking
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan
  • Use a mix of meats for juicier texture
