Steak bites

Here’s a simple, flavorful recipe for steak bites—small, tender pieces of steak seared to perfection with garlic and butter.

🥩 Garlic Butter Steak Bites

Ingredients (serves 2–3)

  • 1 lb (450 g) steak (sirloin, ribeye, or filet), cut into 1–2 inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep the steak
    • Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels (removes moisture for better sear).
    • Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the steak
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
    • Add steak cubes in a single layer (don’t overcrowd).
    • Sear 2–3 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust for preferred doneness).
  3. Add garlic and butter
    • Lower heat to medium. Add butter, garlic, and thyme/rosemary.
    • Spoon melted butter over steak bites for 1–2 minutes to coat and add flavor.
  4. Serve
    • Remove from skillet and serve immediately.
    • Optional: sprinkle with chopped parsley.
    • Perfect with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a side salad.

🔥 Tips

  • Use room-temperature steak for even cooking
  • Don’t move the steak too much while searing—let it get a crust
  • For extra flavor, marinate steak cubes in soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic for 15–30 minutes before cooking

If you want, I can give you a sheet-pan oven version that cooks all the steak bites plus vegetables at the same time for easy cleanup.
