Here’s a classic, crispy, and cheesy Chicken Parmesan recipe—perfectly golden with rich tomato sauce and melted cheese 🍗🧀🍅


🍗 Chicken Parmesan

🧾 Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 2–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned or plain + 1 tsp Italian seasoning)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: fresh basil for garnish

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the chicken

  • Pound chicken breasts to even thickness (~½ inch) for uniform cooking.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

2. Bread the chicken

  • Coat each breast in flour → dip in beaten eggs → coat with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan.

3. Cook the chicken

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Transfer to a baking dish.

4. Add sauce and cheese

  • Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.

5. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bake 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Serve

  • Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
  • Serve over pasta, rice, or with a side salad.

💡 Tips

  • Crispier chicken: Fry in a mix of olive oil and butter.
  • Even cooking: Don’t skip pounding the chicken.
  • Extra cheesy: Add a little Parmesan under the mozzarella layer.

🍽️ Variations

  • Low-carb: Skip breadcrumbs and use almond flour.
  • Spicy: Add red pepper flakes to the breadcrumbs.
  • Mini chicken parm: Make smaller cutlets for sliders or appetizers.
