🧈 Classic Butter Cake Recipe

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 cup (225g) butter (softened)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  • Grease and line a cake pan

2. Cream butter & sugar

  • Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (very important step)

3. Add eggs

  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each

4. Mix dry ingredients

  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt

  • Add dry ingredients and milk alternately into the batter
  • Stir in vanilla

6. Bake

  • Pour into pan and bake 35–45 minutes
  • Toothpick should come out clean

7. Cool

  • Let it cool before slicing
