  • 1.5 lbs baby potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup milk or cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions

Cheesy Smashed Potatoes

  1. Boil potatoes
    • Place potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Boil 15–20 minutes until fork-tender. Drain.
  2. Smash & season
    • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
    • On a baking sheet, lightly smash each potato with a potato masher or fork.
    • Drizzle with melted butter, sprinkle salt, pepper, and top with cheese.
  3. Bake
    • Bake 15–20 minutes until golden and crispy on edges.

Garlic Butter Steak Bites

  1. Cook steak bites
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
    • Season steak cubes with salt & pepper.
    • Sear steak bites 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
  2. Make garlic butter
    • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter, garlic, and herbs. Cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Combine
    • Toss steak bites in garlic butter until coated.

Serve

  • Plate garlic butter steak bites alongside cheesy smashed potatoes.
