Posted on March 31, 2026 by Admin

A classic and comforting dish—spaghetti with tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese. Here’s a simple, delicious way to make it:

🍝 Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce & Parmesan

Ingredients (serves 2–3):

  • 200–250g spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups tomato sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/4–1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Cook the spaghetti:
    • Bring salted water to a boil.
    • Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
    • Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Make the sauce:
    • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
    • Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
    • Pour in tomato sauce, then add salt, pepper, herbs, and chili flakes.
    • Simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Combine:
    • Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce.
    • Toss well, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed.
  4. Serve:
    • Plate the pasta and generously sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

💡 Tips for extra flavor:

  • Add a little butter at the end for a richer sauce
  • Toss in fresh basil if available
  • Add cooked meatballs or grilled chicken for protein

Simple, satisfying, and always a crowd-pleaser 🍝
If you want, I can show you a restaurant-style version with slow-simmered sauce or a creamy tomato (rose) pasta.
