🍰 Crumb Cake (Coffee Cake Style)

🧾 Ingredients

For the crumb topping:

  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp melted butter

For the cake:

  • 1½ cups flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter (softened)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt

🔪 Instructions

1. Preheat oven
Set to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking pan (8×8 inch works well).

2. Make the crumb topping
Mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Pour in melted butter and stir until crumbly. Set aside.

3. Make the cake batter

  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  • Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla
  • Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt
  • Add milk and mix until smooth

4. Assemble
Spread batter evenly in the pan.
Sprinkle the crumb topping generously over the top.

5. Bake
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

6. Cool & serve
Let cool slightly before slicing.
