Meatloaf with Ritz crackers

Posted on March 30, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a classic Meatloaf with Ritz Crackers recipe—moist, flavorful, and slightly buttery from the crackers:

🥩 Meatloaf with Ritz Crackers

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1 kg (2 lbs) ground beef (or half beef, half pork for extra flavor)
  • 1 cup Ritz crackers (crushed)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven
    • Set to 180°C (350°F). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the mixture
    • In a large bowl, combine ground meat, crushed Ritz crackers, chopped onion, garlic, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika.
    • Mix gently until everything is combined (don’t overmix or it can get dense).
  3. Shape and top
    • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the pan.
    • Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top.
  4. Bake
    • Bake for 55–65 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
    • Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end for a caramelized top.
  5. Rest & serve
    • Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes, veggies, or gravy.

🔥 Tips & Variations:

  • Extra moist: Use half ground pork or add a little grated zucchini or carrot.
  • Cheesy version: Add shredded cheddar into the meat mixture or on top.
  • Sweet-savory topping: Mix ketchup with brown sugar or honey for a glaze.
  • Freezing: Meatloaf freezes well—slice and store for later meals.

I can also give you a quick, ultra-moist Ritz cracker meatloaf with a garlic herb twist that’s restaurant-style if you want. Do you want me to share that version?
