Krispy Kreme peach cobbler

Posted on March 25, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a fun and indulgent twist on classic peach cobbler using Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts as the base. The doughnuts soak up a custard and bake with sweet, spiced peaches, giving you a rich, dessert-like cobbler.

Krispy Kreme Peach Cobbler

Serves 8–10

Ingredients

Peach Filling:

  • 2 bags (about 32 oz) peach slices (fresh, canned, or thawed frozen)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ stick (¼ cup) butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry to thicken)

Custard:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • Optional: ½ tsp cinnamon

Base:

  • 2 boxes Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnuts, torn into pieces

Instructions

  1. Prepare the peaches:
    • In a saucepan, combine peaches, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook over medium heat ~10 minutes until soft.
  2. Thicken the filling:
    • Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
  3. Make the custard:
    • In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, eggs, brown sugar, and optional cinnamon.
  4. Soak the doughnuts:
    • Tear doughnuts into pieces and briefly soak in the custard mixture (~5 minutes).
  5. Assemble the cobbler:
    • Spread the peach mixture in a greased baking dish.
    • Layer the custard-soaked doughnut pieces on top, adding extra peaches if desired.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake at 350 °F (175 °C) for 20–30 minutes, until golden and bubbling.
  7. Serve:
    • Enjoy warm, ideally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

✅ Tips:

  • The glazed doughnuts act like a sweet “biscuit” layer that soaks up custard.
  • For extra richness, sprinkle a little extra cinnamon sugar on top before baking.

If you want, I can also give a classic peach cobbler recipe without doughnuts for a lighter, more traditional version. Do you want me to do that?
