Honey garlic shrimp

Posted on January 24, 2026 by Admin

Oh yes 🦐🍯—honey garlic shrimp is sweet, savory, and sticky in all the right ways. Here’s a quick, restaurant-style version you can make in under 20 minutes.

🦐 Honey Garlic Shrimp

Servings: 3–4
Time: ~15–20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the sauce
In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes.

2️⃣ Cook the shrimp
Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the sauce
Pour the honey-garlic mixture into the skillet. Cook 1–2 minutes, stirring, until slightly thickened and bubbly.

4️⃣ Combine
Return shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sticky sauce. Cook 1 more minute.

5️⃣ Serve
Top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over rice, noodles, or steamed vegetables.

🔥 Tips & Variations

  • Extra sticky sauce: Add 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water before tossing shrimp back in
  • Spicy: Add more red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha
  • Garlic-forward: Sauté extra garlic for a stronger punch
  • Crispy version: Lightly coat shrimp in cornstarch and pan-fry for a crunchy twist

If you want, I can also give a sheet pan honey garlic shrimp, slow cooker version, or creamy honey garlic shrimp pasta.

Do you want me to do one of those?
